    Back again with a new kit. This one is a little out of the ordinary for me as I dont often use green but this new Fabscraps paper was just too beautiful not to use. So I created a layout called AMAZING using some new photos of Courtney. I like the way her 'hippie' style matches with the retro style paper. The layout can accommodate 4 photos.

I have included a few different techniques. One of them is creating paper circles, folding them and arranging them in a grid like pattern to form a striking element on the page.

I have also used a masking technique to continue the diamond pattern from the paper.

The last technique is used is cutting around the printed elements to create dimension.

You will also create a few of your own butterflies using transparency and permanent markers.

Hi there,
    This month I have done something a little different. In order to keep things interesting I decided to do a mini album instead of a double page layout. This album is Christmas themed and although Christmas has passed I am sure you all have some photos that still haven't been scrapped. The album is made completely from scratch and makes use of a versatile binding system that is quite popular at the moment. This allows you to make this album again with many other themes.

I  decided to make the album without putting any of my own photos in so that you can get a good look at each of the pages without the photos covering them. The pages will easily accommodate a standard jumbo photo and the pull out pages can accommodate slightly smaller photos or a combination of small pics.

Pages are made with envelopes which creates a pocket, making space for a pull out page. Each pull out is created with a different pull tab.

I have also included some smaller pockets and tags to make the album interesting.

Embossed toilet roll empties work well as pockets for tags. These tags can be used for photos or journaling.

A really fun album to create and super place to save all your Christmas memories.

   Its a New Year and time for a new kit. Although I was keen to do something Christmasy. I had this layout done and ready but didnt manage to get it out before the holiday season....but watch this space, Christmas will be up next!

The new kit is called PLAY and is themed around a fun outing or event. I used photos from our trip to a theme park in Holland. The paper is by My Minds Eye and fit in great with the theme, featuring carousels and tickets.

The layout mostly involved "fussy cutting" all the detailed elements and putting them together to create the overall layout.

A little dry brushing with acrylic paint adds a shabby look to the page.

The use of an enlarged photo, filling most of the left hand page creates a dramatic feel. A great way to feature a special photo.

 

The title is already precut in the kit, requiring only a little inking to complete it.

Hi Everyone,

   So we are just into November and feeling Christmas rapidly creeping closer. The year has flown by for me, and many of you too I'm sure. So with that rushed feeling in mind I created a layout that focuses on a moment when you are reminded that LIFE IS GOOD. That is the title of my new kit.

The kit is themed around a fun moment or event. The layout is created in black and citrusy green, yellow and coral.

The Fancy Pants paper line works perfectly to capture the "snapshot" feel of the layout.

You will work with bleach to create the faded and splattered areas on the background pages. Penwork also adds some important elements to the layout.

The bold title completes the layout by bringing the colour schemem together.

Hi Everyone,

   I have a new kit available, albeit rather late. The layout is called PRECIOUS and I used the stunning Shabbylicious range from Fabscraps. The layout can accommodate 7 photos of varying sizes.

The colouring of the layout is soft blue, grey and white and I have incorporated some "shabby" elements to carry the themem of the layout through.

 I have included a masking technique to repeat the diamond pattern in the die cut trellis.

The gauze emphasizes the "shabby" feel and adds texture to the layout. The stitching also adds to the texture.

Hi Everyone,

   With winter starting to make way for spring I decided to do a light fresh girlie layout. I have made use of the most stunning Bo-Bunny paper and focused on the theme of Friendship.

The layout can accommodate 6 photos of varying sizes and incorporates some floral clusters. Some fussy cutting from the beautiful papers gives a delicate look to the layout.

I have also included a technique of creating gathered layered pleats to give the appearance of fabric. This works well with the feminine theme of the layout

Hi Everyone,
   I am back after an amazing overseas holiday. Its been slow getting back into a routine and now that schools have been back for a week I am starting to feel in control again.

I finally have a new kit ready and it is one for the men..... This layout is called "IT'S THE MAN IN MY LIFE..." and as the title says, it themed around a special man in your life.

This is a very maculine layout making use of lovely earthy tones and interesting patterns. This is a simple layout ensuring that your photos take centre stage.

The tie shape carries the masculine theme through and the paper distressing and pen stitching adds interest.

A bold title completes the page. A strip for journaling at the bottom is optional.
